The purpose of thread locking seals is to provide an increased locking strength, by sealing the threads in place. The thread seals are designed to effectively seal the threaded element, in order to protect it from high fluid pressures. Lubricators are used to prevent the risk of fastener seizing, as well as reducing installation torque, and reducing the effects of material adhesion.
